Ensuring that the children under Ewaka Foundation’s care grow up in a safe, loving, and healthy environment requires continuous operational dedication. In July 2026, we achieved two major milestones that significantly improve daily life at our Jinja Children’s Home.
To enhance the quality of 24/7 care and personal supervision, we welcomed Afoyorwoth Gloria as our new residential stay-in caregiver. Gloria now provides daily guidance, emotional support, and parental care to the children, assisting with household needs and ensuring a nurturing family atmosphere. Her presence strengthens our team’s capacity to support each child’s social and emotional development.
Alongside staff additions, we completed a complete structural overhaul of the Foundation’s sanitation facilities. The renovated restrooms feature durable natural stone finishes, upgraded piping, and improved drainage systems, creating a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our children, staff, and visitors.
